Israel Unplugged: A Seattle Community Journey to Israel

At the end of May, 100 Seattleites traveled on a first-class, 8-day journey through Israel. Thank you Jacquie Bayley for being the volunteer Chair of what many expressed was a life-changing trip. Below are some reflections during the trip.

What: The North End Jewish Organizations’ Global Day of Jewish Learning.

Theme: the three pillars - Torah, Prayer, and Acts of Loving Kindness

Where: Seattle Jewish Community School

When:

1:30pm Doors Open. Information table(s) for participating organizations. Greeters/Community Ambassadors welcome people.

2:00pm Multiple learning sessions

The Onion Comes to Seattle

Back-to-School Conferences for Jewish Educators

Each year Education Services offers several professional development workshops for teachers and educators throughout the year, starting with the Back-to-School conferences. This year's Back-to-School conferences will be September 2 at the Seattle Hebrew Academy for all community teachers and September 3 at the Stroum Jewish Community Center for Early Childhood Educators.

Global Day of Jewish Learning

November 7, 2010 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM

On this one day, Jewish communities around the world will celebrate, educate, and ruminate about Torah, Judaism and all that unites us.

Seattle Jewish organizations will be holding two simultaneous celebrations. 

In north Seattle, organizations and synagogues will host a variety of classroom-style learning opportunities for all ages on topics like love, tzedakah, leadership, mitzvahs, and Jewish life.

Hebrew High is a dynamic, accredited, elective-based program for Jewish students in the 9th-12th grade. Students attended Hebrew High on Wednesday night from 7:00-9:15pm during the academic year.
