Seattle Educators Learn Theater Techniques for the Classroom

Jewish educators participated in dramatic professional development session on March 12. Facilitated by theater expert Joyce Klein, teachers gained new insights about how to incorporate stage techniques into their classrooms for an interdisciplinary, active learning experience. Education Services sponsored the session, which was held at Seattle Hebrew Academy.

Seattle Educators Strengthen Expertise in Building Relationships

Jewish educators from around Seattle came together to increase their ability to form meaningful relationships within the community they serve. The professional development session, entitled "The Quality of Relationships," had more than 70 teachers brainstorming ways to improve their daily interactions with colleagues, families and, most importantly, children. Education Services sponsored the session, which was held at the Stroum JCC on November 7. It was facilitated by Diana Ganger, award-winning educational consultant.

SJCS teachers and performers Jeff Stombaugh and Shoshana Stombaugh will bring their guitars and stories to the Broadway and Lake City Farmers Markets. Young children and their caregivers can enjoy singing and playing along as Jeff and Shoshana bring to life Jewish stories, melodies and traditions that resonate with everyone.
