Focus & Fight Poverty Advocacy Event

Join us for the Focus & Fight Poverty Advocacy Event as part of Focus & Fight Poverty Week on Monday, September 27, 6:00-7:30pm at Temple Beth Am.

Featuring a speaker form the acclaimed Real Change Homeless Speakers' Bureau and an Advocacy 101 workshop.

Learn how to be an effective advocate! Participants will first hear the speaker's personal story of struggling with homelessness, food insecurity, and lack of healthcare. The speaker will also offer a personal insight into our current systems and give solid advice on how the general public can help.

Beta Dance Troupe

Join the Jewish Federation for an all-new international dance performance by the Beta Dance Troupe, a group of Ethiopian Jews from Haifa, Israel!  You won't want to miss this amazing troupe's "esketa," or shoulder dancing, at their one-night-only performance at Benaroya Hall on October 18 at 7pm.

Tickets are just $15 for general admission and $10 for seniors and students. 

Livingroom Learning with Women's Philanthropy

This interactive session for Seattle's Jewish women is a wonderful opportunity to connect through learning, dessert and schmoozing. We hope you will join us! The topic and speaker will be announced closer to the date. Past speakers have included Rivy Kletenik, Rabbi Allison Flash and Ruz Gulko. Future sessions will be held on December 14, March 2 and April 11.

Global Day of Jewish Learning

On this one day, Jewish communities around the world will celebrate, educate, and ruminate about Torah, Judaism and all that unites us.

Seattle Jewish organizations will be holding two simultaneous celebrations. 

In north Seattle, organizations and synagogues will host a variety of classroom-style learning opportunities for all ages on topics like love, tzedakah, leadership, mitzvahs, and Jewish life.
