Our Agenda
Our Agenda
Our work is focused on four main areas:
Children, Youth and Families
The Jewish community’s partnership with government provides low-income families with important services and programs such as subsidies for high-quality childcare, early childhood education programs, crisis counseling, job training, citizenship programs and food stamps.
Adults
The Jewish’s community’s partnership with government allows our partner agencies to provide necessary services and programs to meet growing needs across our state, including emergency services and safety-net services for families in need, the disabled, new immigrants and refugees.
Seniors
The partnership with government allows seniors from around Puget Sound to be active in their community and access necessary medical, nutrition and counseling services. There is more demand for different types of housing, from long-term care settings to providing more extensive services so that older adults can stay in their homes as long as possible.
Human and Civil Rights
In addition to the social services emphasis of our legislative agenda, the Jewish Federation also works on important human rights issues.
