As you read this, children from our community have begun experiencing all the magic that Jewish overnight summer camp has to offer, thanks to scholarships they received from your Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle.

Meanwhile, a couple of weeks ago, your Federation and our Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC), together with a few other Jewish communal organizations met with Senator Patty Murray, who sought our counsel on what she can do to help combat increasing antisemitism, the most serious challenge facing Jewish Puget Sound today.

Those are just two recent examples of how your Federation has served our community—two bricks in the foundation that we’re going to build on during our next fiscal year, starting July 1. Everything we do is possible because of generous people like you who care so much. You change people’s lives. You help make our world a better place. Thank you! 

With the start of the new fiscal year less than a week away, I ask you to renew your support of Federation. Because there is always more to do to keep Jewish life vibrant and thriving. By investing in Federation, you will do so much good for so many.

Like making it possible for more children to find their Jewish path through camp and teen Israel scholarships.

Fighting back against antisemitism and all types of hate, so we can build a world where every person, without exception, feels safe and welcome.

Helping Jewish organizations stay secure from physical and cyber threats through the SAFE Washington program.

Strengthening connections with our mishpacha in Israel and around the world through investments in human services and Jewish identity programs with our international partners and sponsoring extended visits to our region by Israeli emissaries.

Preparing the next generation for the responsibilities of community leadership through transformative programs like the Courageous Leadership Incubator.

Your investment in Federation will power all those services and more. Together, in the community-building spirit of Kehilla/Areivut, we can help secure a bright future for Jewish life here, in the place we call home, and for the Jewish people worldwide.
