Solly Kane is the President & CEO of the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle. Solly has been a Jewish communal executive for over a decade with a lifelong involvement across the Jewish communal landscape. He leads with strong business skills and a deep commitment to community and people. Prior to joining the Federation in 2023, Solly was the Executive Director of three Union for Reform Judaism (URJ) overnight summer camps.
He previously worked for the URJ in multiple roles, including in Washington D.C. at the Religious Action Center, and in New York City leading the planning and implementation of the URJ’s largest programs for adults and youth. In addition to his time as a Jewish professional, Solly has also spent time working as a management consultant advising companies on business strategy. Solly holds an MBA from New York University, a certificate in nonprofit management from the Northwestern Kellogg School of Management, and is a Wexner Foundation Field Fellow.
Solly’s wife Briana Holtzman grew up on Mercer Island, and she is also a Jewish professional on the senior leadership team of the Foundation for Jewish Camp (FJC). Solly and Briana are thrilled to be in the Pacific Northwest, and to have recently welcomed their first son to their family and the Seattle community.
