Every other week, I’ll reach out and use this letter to share updates, ideas, resources, or opportunities for engagement from the JCRC. We’ll cover issues that are core to the mission of the JCRC, like: 

• Combating antisemitism, bigotry, and racism

• Supporting a peaceful, secure, Jewish, and democratic State of Israel

• Fostering positive and meaningful relations with other communities and public officials

• Strengthening our Jewish communities through building cohesion and civil discourse

A significant role of the JCRC is to identify areas of community concern, build consensus, and mobilize our people to stand up and speak out together. But today, there are countless significant issues commanding our attention and energy. 

How can we act and not be paralyzed by indecision? 

One of the most important ways you can help guide the JCRC to action is to complete the Jewish Federation’s annual public policy survey. This survey is an effective tool that helps us understand what issues are most important and where there is consensus. 

We are diverse Jewish communities, with a multitude of observance levels, locations, ages, races, affiliations, political beliefs, sexual orientations, gender identities, and more. But we are bound together by our shared values, history, religion, and culture. 

Kol yisrael arevim zeh la zeh, all in the house of Israel are responsible for one another. Through advocacy and engagement, the JCRC will bring our community together—mobilize us to speak out and stand up, and inspire us to listen to and better care for one another by building understanding and respect. We will honor our diversity and work to uphold our shared values.
